Replacement Rubber T-Slot Strip for Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars

Question:

Hello, my father gifted me a set of your Rhino Rack #1260 cross bars for my Outback Wilderness. Upon attempting to assemble these, I found that the rubber pieces that along the top of the bars aren’t long enough to cover the entire channel. In the video I watched, they’re supposed to over-hang by about six inches and then be trimmed to fit the channel. In my set, all three pieces put together are too short to fill the gap. Is there any way I can get a replacement part for this? Thank you.

Sure thing!

What you're needing is the Replacement Vortex Strip # RRM626 which measures 15-3/4" long. Rhino-Rack unfortunately doesn't have full lengths of the strip so you have to piece this out with what you're needing. The nice thing is you can cut this as needed so you might only need 1 strip to fill the missing gaps.

Rhino-Rack has a good middle-of-the-road roof rack system but they have the only rubber strip style that requires you to trim the rubber piece to accommodate T-Slot mount accessories - this means when you don't have those accessories loaded up you'll be left with that gap so I recommend saving any scraps you have to cut off in case you need them further along down the road.
