Troubleshooting a Furrion Vision S Camera System That is Not Powering on with a 2018 Ford F-150
Question:
I have a 2018 F150 V8 and recently purchased a Furrion Camera S. The camera works when I connect it to the 12V female connector on the camera power cord but the camera doesnt work when I connect it to the power supply in the back of my 2021 Forrest River Wildwoodnor does the LED light on the back camera come on. I checked to be sure I am getting power to the wires in the back of my camper. In addition, the side cameras arent working when I connect them. I purchased a Furrion Camera System 7-way Adapter with Power Switch after some searching on the internet and have the same results.

Typically when getting the issues that you are describing using the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System # FCE48TASL-05, the issue is not enough power getting to the cameras. Especially if they are working when you plug it into an alternate power source.
The power draw answer would typically be solved by using the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter # FR87PR in the 7-way of your vehicle or by hardwiring in the 12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems # VGR64VR into the back-up cameras wiring behind the camera on your RV.
Since it sounds like you have already tried the adapter, another thing to check out is the wiring. The camera system can be used as a back-up camera (wiring to the reverse lights) or and observation system (wiring to the running lights). Make sure you have whatever lights the cameras are wired too on when testing the cameras. If you have it connected to the running lights, then the running lights need to be on for the cameras to receive power. This is a common thing that gets overlooked when testing the camera.
