Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500 w/ Factory Puck System and 6-3/4 Bed
Question:
I am purchasing a Chevy Silverado 2500HD with oem Prep Fifth wheel package. The Fifth wheel I will be towing is an Alliance Avenue 32RLS. Will the fixed hitch Companion allow for easy manuevering? Im not looking to go 90 degrees.

It looks like the nose on your Alliance Avenue 32RLS is pretty short so you may get away with using the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch item # BWRVK3710 on you 6-3/4' bed Silverado. We have people all the time telling us a standard 5th wheel hitch will work on a short bed. However, it will not give you much room for maneuvering.
We always recommend using a sliding hitch like the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider item # BWRVK3775. The sliding base will give you 12" of travel that will give you plenty of clearance so you don't risk smashing the back of your cab. The Companion Slider has the same capacity and features of the standard Companion 5th wheel hitch.
