What is the Most Reliable Electric Trailer Jack for Lance Camper
Question:
Lance trailer 2021 model 1985. The camper came installed with the Lippert Smart Jack. Because of possible sun/rain exposure we cover the jack when we park the trailer. It is only exposed when we actually are driving down the road. Every now and then the jack clicks instead of working. This is consistently with the down button. By pressing the up button I can get the unit to respond and go up. Then pressing the down button works. It could be happening under certain weather situation but I have not paid to much attention to that but if it is going to happen it is when we are closing down at a camp site getting ready to leave. The light bar on the top shows full power. You discuss a bad ground possibility. Is that insuring the unit is properly grounded to the trailer. Or is it a faulty switch? Which means the unit is not reliable. Irregardless of price what is the most reliable jack out there to replace it with? Thank you.

I can't tell you what the most reliable trailer jack is as we don't really have testing to support this but what I can tell you is that the Phoenix Electric Trailer Jack part # UF38-944040 has a longer warranty than any other jack on the market, 10 years. I got to use this jack a bit and was very impressed, mostly due to its speed which you can see in the video below.
