Recommended Weight Distribution System for a 6,400 lbs Trailer
Question:
Looking for recommendations for WDHs. I have a 2023 Silverado 1500 w/ 3.0 duramax and will be towing a Grand Design Imagine XLS 17MKE TT, 4700 UVW, 6400 GVWR and looking for best fit WDH recommendation

The best weight distribution system for a 6,400 lbs trailer is going to be the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control item # EQ37100ET. Weight distribution systems are recommended off of tongue weight which is typically 10% - 15% of your trailer's total weight. This would put yours somewhere between 640 lbs and 960 lbs. The item # EQ37100ET system has a tongue weight range of 600 lbs - 1,000 lbs so it would be perfect.
This system includes a 2" shank and a 2-5/16" hitch ball. The 4-point sway control will keep your trailer in line with your Silverado when you are going down the highway and get passed by a semi or encounter a gust of wind.
I have linked an installation and a review video below so you can see the functions of the Equal-i-zer system.
