Will Yakima SkyBox Fit Unistrut

Question:

Ive got a Lance 850 that requires 95 inch crossbars. The camper was fitted with Maggie Rack rails from Topline Manufacturing, but no towers or crossbar was included. Topline does not sell B2C - Lance tells me that they do not have inventory for this product. Im currently waiting on Topline to write / call back. For others who may want to reference this in the future, the SKU that Lance reports is XR244 - I believe that includes four towers and two crossbars. Ive seen other articles on etrailer that recommend the Rhino Rack Vortex system these towers: RRRLT600. I cannot find a crossbar that comes anywhere close to my campers width. My current thought is to use electric unistrut. You can order 12 gauge for about $35 for a 10 foot piece. Probably going to have to MacGyver some hardware, but rapid installation is not a priority. Can the experts think of a better idea? Ultimately, I want to use this to throw a Yakima SkyBox on the roof for extra cargo. Will unistrut play nicely with recent model roof box clamps?

Like you mentioned, we do not have crossbars anywhere near the 95 inches you need, so unistrut seems fine. You can use something like the Yakima SkyBox 18 Rooftop Cargo Box # Y07336 and it will clamp on just fine so long as the unistrut is no more than 3-1/2" wide x 1-11/16" tall.
