Question:
Dear trainer team, For a Mercedes Benz GLK 250 without the factory tow package brake controller, what is best method to connect the trailer with an electric brake system to the vehicle? The vehicle has LED lights with signal and brake lights combined. Will Curt C56496 also create the brake signal? Thanks

To add a brake controller to your 2015 Mercedes-Benz GLK 250 you'll need a 4-way (different than the one you mentioned), and 7-way. The 4-way will plug into the 7-way and will give you all the needed signals. The correct fits for your Mercedes are the Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236, 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L, and Curt Echo Brake Controller # C51180.
