Can Butyl Caulk be Used in Place of Butyl Tape

Question:

I am planning on re-sealing the corners of my travel trailer with Dicor Sealtite tape. I know Dicor reccomends using their butyl caulk but I was wondering if butyl tape would also work as it seems easier to apply than a caulk.

Butyl tape like # AL64UV will work a lot better than butyl caulk in your application. Butyl caulk is kind of a nightmare to deal with and is sold as a shingle/roof sealant. It's essentially liquified butyl tape and would be pretty messy. It would still technically work for you though if you wanted to go that route.
