What Capacity 5th Wheel Hitch Is Needed To Tow A 16k 2008 Heartland Big Horn 5th Wheel
Question:
I have 2008 Big Horn fifth wheel at 16,000 lbs. Is the BWKRVK3775 at 20,000 lbs enought ?? How offen do you need to change bushing ?? And will this fit a GMC Denial 3500 crew cab short box 4x4 ?? Year 2023

The safe ruling for weight capacities is to only use 80-85% of your total capacity so the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3775 with its 20k capacity would be enough for your 16k 2008 Heartland Big Horn fifth wheel. The bushings shouldn't need to be replaced as long as you routinely grease the bushings with some white lithium grease # L11354.
This hitch is designed for the oem puck system, if you don't have pucks in the bed of your Sierra then you'll need to install a Turnoverball hitch # BWGNRK1020-5W and use the turnoverball Companion # BWRVK3400-5W instead.
