Recommended Ladder Rack For Carrying Kayaks On a 2021 Ram 2500 Short Bed With BAKFlip Tonneau Cover

I have a 2021 Ram 2500 crew cab short bed with a bakflip mx4 hard cover and would like to put a rack on my truck to carry kayaks and hopefully be able to put a motorcycle in bed also. Any ideas what would work with cover Thank you

I recommend using the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43003XT-501 with the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK48203 on your 2021 Ram 2500 crew cab short bed. The Thule attaches to the stake pockets unlike other ladder racks which mount to the bed side rails where your BAKFlip tonneau is currently located. The Thule rear uprights and crossbar can easily slide forward or off for loading your motorcycle. The crossbars have channels which allow you to install the Thule Hull-A-Port Aero Kayak Roof Rack # TH849000. These carriers also fold down when you are not carrying kayaks allowing you to leave them on the rack. You can also remove the uprights and crossbars easily when not needed so you do not always have to have the rack on your Ram when it is not needed.
