Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this replacement pintle sleeve for the Convert-a-Ball Pintle Hook Combos. Now this part here will replace the steel pintle sleeve that's on the Convert-a-Ball Pintle Hook Combo. It is designed to work with the combo part number PH-1, PH-2, PH-2S and the PH-4. Now, it will not work with the PH-3 model, but I did wanna pop up an insert just to show you. That happens to be the part number PH-1 and you can see how the sleeve is installed on there.
Basically it installs very easily. To use the unit as a pintle hitch, what you'll simply do is slip the stainless steel pintle sleeve over the 1" diameter hitch ball shank. Once this is in place, this sleeve here will accept the lunette ring on your trailer and then the handle will come over as you can see, and locks in the place at the top here to create a nice, strong reliable pintle hitch with a gross towing capacity of 25,000 pounds. It is backed up by the security of a double locking system. This pintle hook combo offers safety, versatility, and performance for those that are towing with a lunette ring.
Now this part here, this sleeve is constructed of a solid stainless steel. It is made in the USA. Just to give you a few measurements on this, the overall height on the unit, bottom to the very top is 3/4". The diameter, overall diameter on the top is right at 1 7/8", and the internal opening is right at 1". As we mentioned, that'll fit over the 1" diameter hitch ball shank.
