Ladder Rack Recommendation for a 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 with a BAKFlip MX4 Cover

I have a 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 standard bed with a BAKFLIP MX4. Will the Thule TracRac work on it allowing cover to fully open? If so, will the cantilever system work?

Technically, yes, the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover and TracRac SR Ladder Rack (with the Cantilever) will fit together on your 2023 GMC Sierra 2500:

- BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK448133
- Thule TracRac SR # TH94RE
- Thule TracRac SR (w/Cantilever) # TH44RE

The reason this isn't a definitive "yes" is while the tonneau cover will be able to open (you might have to shift the uprights of the rack to accomplish this), the rubber seals on the sides of the BAKFlip MX4 panels will rub against the base of the TracRac so over time they might get a little flimsy. We haven't had anyone come back and report this yet (to my knowledge), but the potential is there so we like to bring it to light.

Because of this I recommend checking out the TruXedo Elevate Truck Bed Rack System # TX46NV because it adjusts along the rails and has some height adjustment. The only real backwards step with this system is the lower 500 lbs weight capacity, but 500 lbs is a lot so if you anticipate loading that much gear up it might be worth the risk with the TracRac SR system.
