Selecting The Correct Leaf Springs For a 2019 Keystone Hideout With 3,500LB Tandem Trailer Axles

Question:

I have a 2019 Keystone Hideout with 3500lb tandem axels that needs at the very least new leaf springs. The current springs, especially on one side are completely flat with the trailer at dry weight. Measuring them with the trailer. Weight gives you measurement of 26.5 in so I assume they are 26 in springs. Im trying to locate the correct replacement springs for my trailer as well as the possible option of springs that are maybe a little heavier duty and or will raise the trailer just slightly. Ive also heard about other upgrade options like wet bolts and possibly an upgraded equalizer though Im not sure thats needed.

It is best to measure your leaf springs with the trailer weight off the spring. As you mentioned you have a measurement of 26.5" from eye center to eye center you more likely have the 25-1/8" Spring # e54SR. If this spring was completely flat it would have a length of 26-3/8", where a 26" Spring # e22YR when flat would be 28" long. I find it best to stay with the axle capacity springs and as a suspension enhancement like the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # TSS-107-40. These will help to absorb weight off the springs when the trailer bounces without transferring additional shock through the trailer like heavier leaf springs will often do.

Adding the MORryde Rubber Equalizers # MR87ZR along with the Wet Bolt Kit # MR46ZR will allow the suspension to move more easily. This will allow the weight across both axles to be more evenly distributed, which will extend the life of all the moving components.
