Hello, I would like to purchase this Reverse lock out solenoid kit DM5837 for my Demco Surge Brake actuator DA70, item# DM72VR and I wanted to make sure that the solenoid and cover are compatible with that model actuator. Thank you!

You will need the Reverse Lockout Solenoid Kit # DM5836 for the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator # DM72VR. I have included a install video below showing the installation of the solenoid kit on this actuator.

The Kit # DM5837 you found is for Demco models DA10 and DA91 hydraulic trailer brake actuators.

Hello Bob, For your Demco DA70 actuator use the Reverse Lockout Solenoid #DM11993. The difference between this and #DM5837 is that the latter comes with a cover.

Demco surge brake actuators require a Reverse Lockout Solenoid #DM11993. They do not have the ability to use a reverse lockout key.

Since the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator #DM8759812 is a DA91 actuator the Reverse Lockout Solenoid Kit #DM5837 will fit. I confirmed this with my contact at Demco.

You can add a Manual Reverse Lockout Kit #DM5939 or Electric Reverse Lockout Solenoid Kit #DM5837 to the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator #DM8509612 to get the DA91 surge coupler with a reverse lockout.
