How is the weight of this system compared to the equalizer 1000/10000? I have trouble lifting the equalizer when installing.

They're pretty much the same. The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control item # EQ37100ET weighs 109 lbs and the Reese Steadi-Flex item # RP66559 you were looking at weighs 112 lbs.

Equal-i-zer does make a tool that will help you install the trunnion bars. It is the Snap-Up Lever for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems item # EQ95-01-6050. If this solution doesn't help you can try using a floor jack.
