Is There a 4-Way Flat to &-Way Round Adapter for Boat Trailer with Only 5 Pins

Question:

I have a 2005 Lincoln Navigator with a factory 4 wire flat connector. I am buying a boat with a trailer that has a 7-way 5 wire round connector. What kit can I buy to add the 5th blue - reverse wire to my 4 wire flat connector and convert it into a round connector that will be compatible with the boat trailer. Also, since I still also have several 4 wire flat connector trailers, I would need to be able to still connect to them as well. Thank you, in advance, for your advice.

If the trailer has a 7-way round connector with only five pins inside then you would need to use something like the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole Item # 37185 which will plug into the 4-way on the vehicle. Then, you'd extend the purple wire using extra wire part # DW02414-1 to the reverse light circuit. You can find this by testing the wires going into the tail light looking for the one that is only active while the vehicle is in reverse.
