Remote Engine Oil Cooler for a 1984 Chevy G30 Van Class C Motor Home

Question:

I have a 1984 G30 van chassis class C motor home with a 350 V8 engine. my mechanic has told me that I dont have enough room to install an engine oil cooler in the usual place between the grill and the radiator/transmission cooler. Is there a remote engine oil cooler I could mount under the truck? I believe he told me that the truck already has a 3-row radiator and Im not sure there is room for another row. could I use this oil cooler as an auxiliary engine cooler? It runs quite warm when I start to climb almost anywhere or anything. I had a very spooky experience with it overheating in the Canadian Rockies climbing up a steep pass w/o guard rails. Can you help? Thanks

Provided you have space for cooler # D15604 you could certainly use it on your 1984 Chevy G-series van. The overall depth is 2 inches, width 13 inches, and height 4-9/16 inches.

Or you could go with a remote cooler that has it own fan like # D15450. With this set up you are not limited to placing the cooler in the front of the vehicle. It could go anywhere there is space since it has its own fan. It is 4-5/16 inches deep, 12-3/4 inches wide, and 9-3/8 inches tall.
