Parts Needed To Flat Tow 2020 Ram 1500 Limited

Question:

I plan to flat-tow my 2020 Ram Limited behind my 2018 Winnebago Spirit 31G, but need to know everything I need to purchase. Im looking for tow bars that can store on the RV lift up and store, with a cover, as well as a base plate for my truck that is nearly invisible. Just dont a lot of stuff sticking out of the front end. Also, would like to know the best/recommended braking system for this set-up as well. Finally, Id like to install LEDs in the trucks brake lights to handle all lighting/turn signals/brake lights. Thank you in advance for any/all assistance!

To flat tow your 2020 Ram 1500 Limited I recommend using the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-522203-5. The arms on this base plate kit are easily removable and will give you the nearly invisible look you're wanting for your truck.

For a tow bar, I recommend the Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-576 which has an 8,000 lb capacity that will be enough to safely flat tow your Ram. The non-binding feature will allow you to disconnect the tow bar easily even if you are parked on uneven ground. This tow bar also includes safety cables so you won't have to purchase them separately. For a cover you can use the # RM-055-3.

Your truck can't use a bulb and socket kit that would add extra LEDs to your tail lights. Instead, you will need the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will tie into your vehicle lights so it accepts the signal from your Winnebago.

For the best supplemental braking system I recommend the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251. This is a proportional system that permanently installs in your truck so you won't have to worry about setting it up each time like you would a portable system. It also comes with a 5-year warranty.

I have attached some installation videos below for your reference.
