How do I correctly mount a Thule Weekender Cargo Box to my 2018 Subaru Outback that comes standard with crossbars. The Thule Weekender is an older model that has a part number of 10393.

I do have an option for you but there isn't any alternative mounting hardware specifically for the Thule Weekender Rooftop Cargo Box. That said, you should be able to retrofit another set like the Replacement Mounting Hardware for SportRack and Thule Cargo Boxes part # SR04952 by drilling and these fit crossbars up to 1-9/16" tall x 3-3/4" wide.

The replacement mounting hardware for a Thule Weekender is the part #1032802 that you referenced. This box was discontinued before the 2020 CR-V was released so it was never test fit but I can't see why it wouldn't fit.

According to Thule you can use the QM3 mounting hardware, #TH04997, for the Weekender cargo box. The crossbars on your 1998 Toyota 4Runner will need to be up to 3-5/8 inches wide. I have included a picture that shows how this hardware will install.
