How Much Will Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Stabilizer Reduce Ground Clearance
Question:
Looking again at the Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Manual Stabilizer. I have a 34’ race trailer with living quarters. Race trailers sit closer to the ground than RV Travel Trailers so I need to know how far below the trailer frame this jack sits when fully retracted. I want to be sure that when installed in the correct spot I don’t extend below the approach and departure angles. Thanks

The Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Manual Stabilizer for Trailers and RVs # UF39-941704 measures 5" from the trailer frame to the lowest hanging part of the jack. I confirmed this with my contact at Ultra-Fab.
Since your trailer has a lower profile it might be better if you used the 22" lift version # UF39-941707 instead. This only comes with the electric motor (which makes operation easier) but since the legs will be able to extend out lower their weight rating will be higher. This measures 5" from the trailer frame to the lowest part of the jack as well, it's just the legs don't extend down as far when extended.
