Recommended Boat Trailer Guide-Ons for a Calkins Trailer with a 21' Boat

Question:

I am having issues getting my 21 ft aluminum boat centered properly on my Calkins trailer.I was going to add either the pole guides or the roller side guides,or bunk guides, which do you recommend for this specific application

Personally I like the roller style of guide-ons like the CE Smith Roller-Style Guide-Ons # CE27610. The roller style is a bit more forgiving if contact is made because they roll along with the boat instead of just being a blunt stationary force that is correcting. They have black rubber rollers and end caps to help protect your boats finish.

The CE Smith Roller-Style Guide-Ons # CE27610 fit trailer frames up to 3" wide x 4-1/4" tall and the mounting hardware is included. If you have a larger frame, you can use the CE Smith Extra-Long U-Bolt Kit # CE11416 to fit frames up to 3" wide x 5-1/4" tall.

Given the length of your boat, you would be better off getting 2 sets of the CE Smith Roller-Style Guide-Ons # CE27610 so that you can have a guide-on towards the front and back of the trailer.
