What is D-Spud Connector on Shower and Can Diverter Install on Line From it

Question:

On an RV shower mixing valve, what is a D-spud connection? Is it some odd thread? I want to put a diverter valve in line with a handheld shower head. thanks

The D-Spud of the Phoenix Faucets RV Bathroom Faucet w/ D-Spud # PF212342 is the threaded outlet on the top of the faucet that will allow you to hook up a handheld shower attachment to your faucet. Simply screw on a shower attachment like # PF276045 to the D-Spud and pull the diverter pin to have the water flow diverted from the faucet to the shower attachment.

While we don't carry them there are shower line diverters you could install inline with the shower head if you wanted to have a fixed shower head up above and then an additional handheld shower head. It's not an uncommon thread or adapter either as we have a similar setup on the shower heads at my house.
