Is it Possible that Curt RV Multi Fit Hitch # 13703 Could Only Install by Welding
Question:
I purchased your Curt # 13703 hitch for my 2023 Jayco Whitehawk 27rb. I ask my RV dealer over the phone about installing it, and he told me he couldnt do it because it would need welded on. I kinda had a feeling he was tell g me that because they are busy and didnt want to mess with it. So I. Your opinion, is he correct about needing to be welded or should yjia be able to be mounted by the adjustable mounting frame? Thanks for the help andools like a nice sturdy hitch! Now I need the bike rack you sale. Thanks for the help

The Curt multi fit hitch part # 13703 was designed to install by either bolting it on or welding. Unless there's just no way to access the out side of the frame to attach hardware I can't see why the hitch could only be welded on and not bolted on. We don't have access to your exact RV though so we aren't able to check and see if there's interference or something that would prevent the install. Now with that said a qualified welder would have no problems welding this hitch in place though and it wouldn't be a labor-intensive or expensive process.
When it's time for a bike rack you would need to make sure you go with an RV approved bike rack since the ride quality at the rear of RVs is rougher than that at the rear of a vehicle. I attached a link to all of the RV racks we carry but the Swagman Trailhead part # S63381 would be a really great option we carry that is very popular, works well, and can carry up to 4 bikes.
