Recommended Wiring Harness for a 2018 Toyota RAV4
Question:
Hello, what harness do I need for a tow hitch for my 2018 Toyota RAV4 adventure? Is there one where I dont have to bring the wire all the way to the front battery? Thank you.

To add a wiring harness to your 2018 Toyota RAV4, you will want the Curt T-Connector item # C56350. This wiring harness is custom fit and plugs in to existing wiring in your rear cargo area.
There are no wiring harnesses for your Toyota that don't require a power wire ran directly to your battery. The converter box on the wiring harness needs a direct power source to operate your trailer's lights. The harness doesn't draw power from where it plugs in at the cargo area, it only gets the signal to activate the lights. This prevents feedback but it does require a line ran all the way to the battery.
I have linked an installation video below so you can see the process.
To attach this harness to the Draw-Tite item # 76134 hitch you were looking, you will want the No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket item # 18136 and the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat item # 18144. This will prevent your wiring harness from hanging down and being damaged.
To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
