Car Awning That Fits Yakima Round Crossbars

Hi, I am interested in Thule HideAway Awning - Roof Rack Mount - Waterproof - 10 foot Long x 8 foot Wide Item # TH490010. I would like to install the awning on Yakima Cross bars that are round. Can this be done and what parts do I need? The vehicle is a 2018 GMC Savanna 2500 Van. Is mounting the awning on the roof basket a better option? If so, can you please tell me what parts I need? There is an awning that attaches to your Yakima round crossbars, though the Thule awning you asked about only mounts to aero and square bars. For an awning that attaches to round bars you'll need one from Yakima:

- Yakima SlimShady Awning # Y96VR

The # Y96VR is an 8' x 8' awning that clamps onto your crossbars and comes with adapters needed to mount directly to your round crossbars.
