Installation Instructions & Ski Loading For The Thule SnowPack On A 2015 Lexus RX 350

Question:

I just installed a TH 7326 6 pair ski rack on my vehicle. I have two questions. 1 My factory installed roof rack does not move far enough in either direction to allow for both the heel and toe of the ski bindings to fit between the crossbars. Thus, the only way I can use the rack is to set the crossbars 12inch apart and have the ski binding toe between the crossbars and the binding heel on the other side. Should I be concerned? 2 Putting the rack together was frustrating as hell because after installing the clip-on spacers that the instruction drawing say to attach, there appeared to be no way to install the rack using the included strap system. So then I took it all apart and ignored the spacers. It finally appeared to me that you either you use the strap system with no spacers or you drill holes in your roof rack to install with spacers as I saw no way to use them together. I have seen similar online comments. Am I missing something or do the instructions merely show alternate ways to install but dont tell you they are alternate install choices? Weird to have so many unused parts. Thanks Mounted on 2015 Lexus RX 350

You should not have needed or need to drill holes into your roof rack to install the Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier - Locking # TH7326 into the roof rack on your 2015 Lexus RX 350.

The included spacer should be able to be snapped to the bottom of the Thule SnowPack and would then attach to your crossbars via the T-Bolts, which is meant to be slide into the top side of your roof rack; as shown in the attached image.

With that being said, Thule just gives you the option to install their rack via the strap system if your crossbars do not have t-slots integrated. You are expected to use either or, depending on your situation.

Additionally, for your first question you should not be concerned as this is a fairly common occurrence and is solved by doing exactly what you did.

Attached is a review video for you to check out as well.
