Can AGM Batteries be Stored and Maintained in Below Freezing Conditions

Question:

I have to AGM batteries in my travel trailer. I am leaving the TT plugged in so the batteries will be maintained but it still drops below freezing here I am in Wisconsin. Do I need to remove the batteries and store in my garage or is keeping them maintained good enough?

Expert Reply:

AGM batteries like the part # 34276285 will do just fine if stored and maintained below freezing. Keeping the battery maintained like you mentioned is all you'd need to worry about. If you needed a charger/maintainer the CTEK US part # CTEK56353 would work great. I have two of these chargers and they do a great job keeping batteries topped off and very healthy.
