Recommended 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch For A 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500 With An OEM Puck System

Question:

Good Afternoon I own a 2023 Chevy 2500hd With the 6’10” bed and factor pick system which is set back a few inches behind the axle. 45” from the cab. Would you recommend a slider or fixed 5th hitch. I was looking at the B and W companion 20 ton. Watched many of your videos and learned this can be adjusted slightly moving it back towards the tailgate Hopefully I can safely get away with a fixed hitch Thank You

With a 6'10" bed you'll definitely want to use a sliding hitch in your 2023 Chevy Silverado 2500 to avoid having the nose of your 5th wheel from coming into contact with the cab of your truck. The Companion is only going to give you 2" of clearance when positioning the pivot arms, which isn't going to be enough.

I recommend going with the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3775. B&W is 100% American made and is known for their top tier quality. This sliding hitch will give you an additional 12" of turning clearance when in the sliding position and is designed to drop right into your factory puck system for quick and easy installation or removal.
