Can Inner Slide Member be Replaced on UFP A-60 Actuator to Upgrade from Drum to Disc Brakes

Question:

Hi, I am looking to upgrade my boat trailer brakes on a 96 Heritage tandem axle trailer with the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 10inch Rotor - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet and KodaGuard - 3,500 lbs Item # K2R35DKG. The tongue I have now is a UFP A-60 Inner Member Slide, 7,500 lb. for DRUM Brakes #34039. Can you tell me what inner member slide would I need to use for the upgraded Kodiak Disc Brake Kit? Thank You,

I do have an option for you but we wouldn't be able to provide a new inner slide member for the UFP A-60 Brake Actuator to convert this from drum to disc, it would need to be replaced in its entirely as it's simply too old. I recommend the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator part # DX89FR which will be a great fairly bolt-on swap for your existing actuator and it's rated for disc brakes so it allows you to upgrade for better stopping power.
