Is Having a Supplemental Braking System Required When Flat Towing?

2015 Minnie Winnie RV 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4XE Is the Blue Ox Portable Braking system BLU37TR truly needed for flat towing? Wont the RVs brakes manage the effort on its own? Very naive, dumb, and new here. Simply trying to understand if the cost of admission is validated. Thanks!

Yes, you will need the Blue Ox Patriot Radio Frequency, Portable Braking System # BLU37TR or similar device when flat towing your 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. A supplemental braking device is required by all states but will vary depending on the vehicle weight or stopping distance requirements. As you will likely be traveling around the country you will need to have it to remain legal. And since your 2015 Minnie Winne RV is not having to do the braking for the additional weight it will increase the life of your brakes on your RV. It can also save you from rear ending someone as it will greatly reduce stopping distance during panic braking.
