Does Trailer Hub Seal Width Need to be Measured to Pick Out Replacement

Is the OD and ID the only measurements needed to find the correct seal? Is the thickness also important?

Inner and outer diameter of grease seal is the most important. The outer diameter being more exact since the inner can be harder to get an exact figure on since it's rubber there and can be somewhat stretched or hard to measure. The thickness is not something you need to worry about as there aren't different seals available with varying thicknesses for different applications. Using a caliper like the part # PW80157 would give you the exact enough measurement you'd need.
