What is the profile of this? In other words, how high does it stick up when mounted including the reel portion?

I spoke with the manufacturer and was informed that the Trxstle CRC System Rooftop Fly Rod Carrier # TRX57FR will have a total height of 9" from the crossbar to the top of the reel portion.

I attached a picture that shows reels not hitting the roof of a vehicle that are being carried in the Rhino-Rack Ski and Fishing Rod Carrier #RR572. Unless you had a really low profile set of crossbars you wouldn't have any issue at all.
