Can The Timbren Silent Ride Suspension # TSR3500S05 Be Galvanized?
Question:
My tomco Canada made not California snowmobile trailer is galvanized, therefore nothing can be welded. Can this be ordered in galvanized? Or at least disassembled and galvanized? I travel many miles each winter in high road salt conditions, previous torsion axle gave and tore off, it was not galvanized. Corrosion Almost wrecked my trailer. Also the rubber plug that bears the weight, can be replaced with airbag setup? Or would that involve bolting bag and mount behind the axle? Ride height is very important, and its difficult to balance the load on a 24foot single axle trailer. Gvw 2600lb would benefit by removing 100 lb ramp from rear of trailer and instead loading with bags deflated like other airbag trailers. 20+ year old trailer should last another 20 years if everything is galvanized.

The Timbren Silent Ride Suspension # TSR3500S05 can be disassembled to have them galvanized rather than in the powder coat finish they currently use. Timbren does not offer them currently as a galvanized finish. The rubber springs Timbren uses are specific to the suspension and they do not currently have any air bag kits to replace the springs. It would be difficult to use air springs as the current rubber springs are not that tall and the mounting surfaces top and bottom are not flat.
