How Much Easier is the Fulton XLT 2-Speed Trailer Winch To Use Than a Standard Hand Crank Winch
Question:
Hi. Yes, I know. It is difficult to quantify, just how much easier it is to crank 2-gear winch of the sort offered here than it is the standard Fulton winch I am presently using to load my 17 ft Bass Tracker. But this is the question I put to you because I broke my back in a car accident and struggle to use standard winch. Thanks!!!

The Fulton XLT 2-Speed Trailer Winch part # F142425 as the title states has two speeds; a high speed which lets you retrieve your load much faster but it will be more strenuous and a low speed which makes it slower to retrieve your load but it will be much easier physically speaking. The low speed will be considerably easier to use than a standard single speed hand crank winch so as long as you are okay with the slower retrieval, you'll surely appreciate the mechanical advantage.
The other option if you have it in the budget is an electric winch which requires almost no physically effort with good speed, the Dutton-Lainson StrongArm Electric Winch part # DL25001.
