Choosing Between Fixed and Slider 5th Wheel Hitch on 2023 Sierra 2500 Short Bed

Question:

I have a 2023 Sierra 2500 short bed and I'm not sure if I need a fixed hitch or a slider. Can you help me out here? I have the slots to install one from the factory in the truck already. I was planning on getting this B&W just wasn't sure which kind I need.

Since you have the 6-3/4' bed on your 2023 Sierra 2500 you need the B&W Companion with Slider # BWRVK3775. Having the slider will give you enough clearance on tight turns so you won't damage your trailer or vehicle. If you had a long bed you would use the fixed Companion # BWRVK3710 instead.

This hitch will drop into the factory slots (pucks) in your truck bed from your prep package for installation. It features a non-binding cam-action latch handle to prevent binding, as well as 1" thick dual jaws for a secure connection. It comes with a gray powder coat finish and is made in the USA.
