Can a Convert-A-Ball Adapter Be Used w/ a Locked Out RotaFlex Pin Box?
Question:
Can this Convert-a-Ball 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter be used with the Andersen RotaFlex lockout kit? Im aware that the adapter shouldnt be used with the RotaFlex pinbox in its OEM-state where the motion is allowed. If you lockout that motion I think this should remove any of the motion-related concerns. Can you confirm, please?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes, so long as you lock out the motion and isolate the king pin on the RotaFlex you can use the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter item # CAB-C5G. It looks like the Ultimate Connection Rota-Flex Lockout Kit does this for use with Anderson hitches so this should work for an gooseneck adapter as well.
I have linked a review video below.
This set up will likely void any warranties on your trailer. If you are concerned about this I recommend replacing your RotaFlex pin box with a gooseneck to 5th wheel adapter like a Reese Goosebox. If this is something you are interested in please email me a picture of the sticker on your pin box and I will be happy to make a recommendation.
