Will the Thule Pulse Alpine Cargo Box Interfere with the Rear Hatch on a 2014 Subaru Forester
Question:
I got your recent reply about the2014 Subaru Forester. This is the ONLY box that will fit the dimensions of getting into our garage,so I would try to make this work. Is there any way we can use the rear hatch adjustment on our vehicle and still have decent room to get into the rear of the car? Can this box be seated forward so as to acomodate the rear hatch? I saw on your websiste video that the box fits the older 2013 Subaru Forester 2014 has been redesigned and is slightly larger than the 2013.

I spoke to my contact at Thule and she told me that the best way for you to determine if you have enough clearance would be to open the hatch on your 2014 Subaru Forester and measure from the crossbar back to the nearest portion of the hatch. If that distance is greater than 26 inches then the Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box # TH613 should fit without interference.
The reason for this is that when the rear mounting bracket is slid into the rear-most position it measures 26 inches from there to the rear of the box.
