Can Magnetic Light Kit # RM-2120 Wiring Be Attached Directly to the 7-Way Connector of a Tow Dolly
Question:
I currently have a class A RV with a tow package that includes a 7 blade connector. I utilize the Roadmaster 3477 tow dolly with electric brakes and lighting. I want to add the Roadmaster magnetic brake light 2120. Instead of splicing the 4 way connectors wires directly into the wires of the current 7 blade setup, is it acceptable to run the 4 way connectors wires into the 7 blade connector housing and screw them in place along with the current wires held by the screws so that both the tow dolly lights and the magnetic lights work. My RV is a Forest River Georgetown 351ds model 2012. Thank you.

You could potentially install the magnetic light kit # RM-2120 in the manner you have described. However, you would need to make sure the magnetic lights wiring is connected on the tow dolly side connector for easy installation and removal.
Adding more wires to the 7-Way can increase the chances of a short circuit and there may not even be room depending on the gauge of wire used on the tow dolly. If there is no room or it looks like the wires for adjacent circuits could touch, I recommend abandoning that method and just splicing in the wires using the included quick splice connectors.
