Availability of Bumper Sensor System for Front of Vehicle

Question:

I would like to install a system that will warn me when I get too close to an object when pulling forward. Both for parking and pulling into my garage.

Although there is not anything specifically designed for use on the front of the vehicle, there is an available system that could be used for that purpose.

Systems like the Hopkins # HM60100VA back-up sensor systems will typically tap into the reverse lamp circuit of the vehicle so that they power up when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. To to this on the front of the vehicle, you will need to run the power wire to a 12-volt power source and install a switch like # D16740 to turn the system on and off.
