Recommended Air Bags for a 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Megacab 4WD w/ a 2" Lift
Question:
I have a 2007 Dodge with a 2” lift on the rear axle. I want to buy an air bag system but I’m not sure how to it with the lifting blocks. Any help would be appreciated. Is it normal to have what looks like pieces of spring material stacked in between the springs and the raising block? It looks stock but I’m not sure. I’ve also been looking at the Firestone F2701 kit. Which kit would work the best? Thanks

The Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs item # F2701 are confirmed to fit your 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 4WD truck. These air springs will offer you a massive 7,500 lbs of load leveling support.
To compensate for your 2" lift you will want to use the Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F2366. These steel spacers go between the air springs and the mounting brackets. They will close the gap between the air springs and your lifted suspension.
I recommend adding the Firestone Air Command II - Analog Gauge w/ Heavy Duty Compressor item # F2219. This onboard air compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI in each air spring independently from the comfort of your cab. This gives you the ability to compensate for off center loads.
I have linked a couple of installation videos below for you to take a look at.
I am not sure what would be stacked in between the springs and the raising block so I can't say that is normal. If you would like to email me a picture I will be happy to take a look at it.
