Could Hitch Installed on Honda CR-V Hybrid Void Extended Warranty

I was told that a trailer hitch installed would void my extended warranty due to battery and other electronic sensors

In general hitches do not void the warranty of vehicles, but if you have an extended warranty with an outside company you'd want to make totally sure before installing one like the etrailer # e98848. When you contact the warranty company I would mention the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (P.L. 93-637). The Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act in short states that manufactures cannot void the entire warranty of a vehicle simply because they installed an aftermarket component.
