Does Red Wire of Prodigy Brake Controller Need to Ground When Brakes aren't Applied
Question:
When testing where to hook up red wire from new prodigy brake controller ,the wire from the brake switch only gets 12v when brake applied. But when it is not applied,the wire tests to ground .is that right?

The red wire of a brake controller like the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 will need 12 volts when the brakes are applied but it does not need to ground or anything when there isn't 12 volts present.
