Adapter and Hose For Adding a Portable Propane Cylinder To a RV Motorhome With Mounted Propane Tank

Question:

have a 1993 coachman santara class A diesel rv. i want to attach an external portable tank to my acme 20 gallon tank. it has a connection between the shut off valve and the regulator. it looks like i can make a direct connection there. what would the likely type of connection be at the rv side and what 3 foot hose would you recommend? all these sizes and description are too much for me without help. is there a good way to figure out what I have? Thanks

We do have the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting w/ Hose # 103538-MBS which includes the Adapter # 103537-MBS to fit between your current tank shut off valve and the regulator. It also includes a 6' Hose # 100794-72-MBS that will connect to the quick connect on the adapter and then thread into a 20lb propane tank. The adapter does have 2 quick connects giving you the ability to use 2 tanks with a 2nd hose or allow you to connect to a grill with the Adapter Hose # 100476-72-MBS that will connect to a grill which uses the green 1-lb throwaway cylinders.
