Does Slope Of Road Affect Performance Of Tekonsha Brake Controller # TK90160
Question:
Does the driving angle - downward slope of the road - play into the acceptable 70 degree mounting angle of the unit For instance - if I install the Prodigy controller at nearly the 70 degree allowable range - with the back of the unit downwards and the readout front in the upwards orientation - and then I find myself driving downhill at lets say a 30 degree angle. The overall angle of the controller is now 100 degrees - 70 degrees mounting angle + 30 degrees driving angle. Will the controller still work properly?

I spoke with my contact at Cequent about the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller, part # TK90160, for your 2008 Toyota 4-Runner. They told me that the brake controller is designed to recognize different terrain and will operate based on the plane of the vehicle and not the road you may be driving on, so the brake controller will work for you regardless of the slope of the road you drive on.
