Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch For A 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE

Question:

I have a 2018 Mercedes GLE 350. Looking at Travel Trailers, my hitch is rated at 7,500 lbs and 600lbs tongue weight. Tongue weight seems to be a limiting option for us. Is a weight distribution hitch an option or do you advise against it.

With all the hitches that are confirmed for your 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE none of then will rise the tongue weight rating when using a weight distribution system. So you will not be able to go over the 600 pound tongue weight.

The Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA94-00-0800 will work with tongue weight capacities between 400 pounds to 800 pounds, but will not be able to go past 600 pounds. This WDH has integrated 2-point sway control that limits side-to-side movement. It has a powder coated steel construction that is durable and corrosion resistant. Using this system will give you a smoother ride when towing your travel trailer.

The system has no-drill, clamp-on brackets that can be adjusted along the trailer frame. The Hitch Ball # 63840 is sold separately.
