Can a Right Side Trailer Tail Light be Mounted Upside Down on the Left Side
Question:
Can I mount the STL26RB upside down on the left side of a trailer? I dont want the license plate illumination of the STL27RB since the license plate is mounted elsewhere on the trailer Im designing. The STL26RB looks pretty symmetric and is submersible so wouldnt have drain holes, but I wonder if it would still meet all the regulatory requirements for light direction/intesnity, etc.

The lens style needs to face a certain way on light # STL26RB. Also, mounting it upside down could cause it to fall off because it slides onto bolt heads to secure to the trailer. The best option is just go ahead and get the proper left side light, # STL27RB, and either block out the bottom lenses or disconnect the wires inside the light that go to the bottom.
