Threshold to Door Clearance Needed for Lippert SolidStep RV Steps

Question:

I am looking at the Lippert Solid Step and the Morryde Step Above. Morryde says you need at least 3/8 inch clearance between the bottom of the door and the top of the threshold for the door to close when the steps are up and in the stored position. I do not have that much clearance. The Lippert Solid Step doesnt specify how much clearance you need between the door bottom and the top of the threshold. Do you have that info? Thanks

The MORryde StepAbove RV Steps, like part # MR26RR, do require that 3/8" gap from the bottom of the door to the top of your threshold but that clearance is reduced to a range of 1/4" to 3/8" for the Lippert SolidStep, like part # LC733931.

If you don't have enough height for either of these solutions then I recommend checking out the TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps, like part # TLA8102, instead. These replace standard pull-out steps but they have some adjustability for tighter parking and the landing gear means your steps aren't bouncing up and down when entering or exiting your RV.

All of the steps mentioned here are compatible with an entry height range of 25" - 28" so if you have something other than that please let me know and I'd be more than happy to let you know what alternative option you need!

Attached is a review video of the TorkLift for you to check out.
