Replacement Surge Brake Actuator, Brake Lines & Calipers For 2005 Mastercraft Pro V 205 Boat Trailer

Question:

Hello, I have a 2005 Mastercraft Pro V 205 boat trailer with a swing away surge brake actuator. I would like to replace the actuator with a weld-on one, with 7.5K weight rating, disc brake capable, and an electric reverse lock out. The OEM actuator is welded to the front swing away bracket, which is 5 in height. Could you recommend an actuator. Also, I will need both rear calipers and all associated brake hoses/lines, as they will need to be replaced. Thank you

I recommend the Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator w Electric Lockout # DX93FR for your 2005 Mastercraft Pro V 205 boat trailer. This weld-on disc brake actuator is for a 3" wide by 5" tall frame, and includes a electric reverse lockout. It latches to a 2" hitch ball and comes primed so you will be able to weld it onto your frame and paint to match the trailers frame.

I do see that your boat can be fitted to a single axle trailer or tandem axle depending on your setup will decide what brake lines you will need. We have a Single Axle Brake Line Kit # 18SI-BLKIT and Tandem Axle Brake Line Kit # 18TA-BLKIT that both have flexible brake lines for your swing away tongue and an 18' main line from the actuator to the tee for the axle.

You will need to verify what brake calipers you currently have to ensure they fit your mounting bracket. The Kodiak 225 is the most common and you will find this stamped in the back side of the caliper. If this is what you have I recommend using the Stainless Steel Caliper # KDBC225S to prevent corrosion of the caliper on your boat trailer. If you are unsure please send me images or the number stamped on your caliper so I can confirm the correct replacements.
