I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11025 on your 2014 Kia Optima Hybrid. Do be aware that your owners manual does have conflicting information that says it is not recommended for use with trailer towing. But it also states to make sure you account for tongue weight for total vehicle weight when trailer towing. If you have any vehicle warranty or concerns about this please consult your vehicle warranty or your Kia dealer.
Curt recommends using either the 1-7/8" Euro Drawbar # C45571 or 2" Euro Drawbar # C45572 to match your trailer coupler. A Pin & Clip # F-4 is needed for holding the drawbar in the receiver. I recommend using the Master Lock Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock and Coupler Lock Set # 3794DAT. This will allow you to lock both the hitch and trailer coupler when you are on the lake with your jet ski. It also has a coupler storage lock that will secure the trailer when it is disconnected from your Kia.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118453 will give you a 4-way flat connector for operating the tail lights on your trailer.
