IR Remote Compatibility and Sub Operation for Furrion RV Stereo

Question:

I was told that I can connect an IR remote with a 3.5mm jack to the Furrion DV1230-BL. Some of the options I had in mind were the Alpine Rue1 M Rf which has that connector on the adapter, or the Pioneer CD-ME300, or the DS18 Hydro, or the Hertz HMC U1, or the Memphis Audio MXA1MCR, or the DualMwr15. Do you think they could work? I also ask them what zone the audio source takes the rear RCA and subwoofer outputs from, because I want to add an amplifier for the outside area of my boat and I want to know which audio zone will play on the amplifier. Thank you very much.

The IR Remote port at the back of the Furrion RV Stereo # DV1230BL will work with any remote that has that 3.5mm jack for the signal.

When it comes to the sub operation, it is tied to all of the zones technically. Zones 1 and 2 are tied together so if you select either of those zones and adjust the sound setting then the sub will adjust with them. If you select zone 3 on the Furrion unit then the sub will adjust along with that sound setting as well. So the sub is essentially tied to all of the zones but will adjust sound level according to which zone is currently selected.

I would connect your outside speakers to zone 3 since it sounds like you're wanting those to be independent from the rest of the system.
